Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association
CALL TO ORDER:
The Haworth Volunteer Firefighters
Association held a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Tuesday,
February 10, 2004 at
the Haworth Fire Station. Vice
President Chad Wright called the meeting to order
at 7:46 p.m. Members present
were: Cowart, Ebert, Batson, Smith, Gray, Middleton, Ferguson, Carrell, Wright, Farley, and
Storey. Guests present: Landon
Middleton, Eric Jackson, and John Coffman.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
Minutes of the previous meeting were
presented. Middleton moved to accept the
minutes as written. Cowart
seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.

Cowart moved to accept financial
report. Ferguson seconded. Financial
Report approved.
ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF MARSH:
Storey presented a letter of
resignation from Marsh. The
Association’s Constitution prohibits the Fire Chief and Assistant Chief
from
serving as an officer in the Association.
Middleton moved to accept Marsh’s resignation.
Ferguson seconded. All
members in favor. Motion approved.
APPOINT ACTING PRESIDENT:
Cowart moved to appoint Chad Wright
as Acting President for the remainder of Marsh’s unexpired term. Ferguson seconded. All
member in favor. Motion approved.
Cowart moved to appoint Donnie Gray
as Acting Vice President for the remainder of Wright’s unexpired term. Ferguson seconded. All
member in favor. Motion approved.
CHANGE DATES OF REGULAR
MONTHLY
MEETINGS:
Members discussed changing meeting
dates to enable members to attend McCurtain County Firefighters
Association
meetings. Batson moved to change the
meeting date to the second Monday of each month. Ebert
seconded. All members in favor. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Ferguson reported that the sirens and
speakers for Tank-1 and Truck-6 had been received.
NEW BUSINESS:
Members were informed that Choctaw
Electric would conduct an Electrical Safety Class at the March meeting
of the
McCurtain County Firefighters Association.
ADJOURN:
Cowart moved to adjourn. Gray
seconded. All members in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
