The Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association held a Regularly Scheduled Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 1998 at the Haworth Fire Department.  Meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Boyd.  Members present were: Storey, Wilcox, Batson, Carrell, Johnson, Middleton, Smith, Farley, Hall, Boyd, and White.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read.  Wilcox moved to accept.  Carrell seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.

Batson reported the Association had a beginning balance of $1,675.89, Income of $1,039.53, expenses of $619.49, and an ending balance of $1,056.40.  Hall moved to accept.  White seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.

Old Business: Middleton, Boyd, and Batson reported on the annual Family Fun Day.  It was decided to participate again next year.

Storey reported that we are still awaiting approval from the F.C.C. to move the repeater.  Should know something within a few weeks.

New Business: Discussed buying new batteries for Middleton’s radio.  Storey reported that Lindsey Communication wants $75.00 each for them, but Lett Electronics in Kansas wants $59.00 each.  Members agreed on purchasing from Lett Elect.

Smith moved to Adjourn.  Middleton seconded.  Meeting Adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
