The Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association held a Regularly Scheduled Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at the Haworth Fire Department.  Meeting was called to order at 7:25 p.m. by Smith.  Members present were: Storey, Batson, Smith, Middleton, D. Johnson, Farley, Lacy, J. Johnson, and White.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read.  Smith moved to accept.  Middleton seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.

Batson reported the Association had a beginning balance of $1,140.86, income of $760.32, expenses totaling $510.69, and an ending balance of $630.17.  Middleton moved to accept.  White seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.

Pumper/tanker has been received.  No payments from the Association will be necessary.

Old Business: Smith reported that Fire Prevention Week was in October.   Boyd to head-up school program.

Also discussed upcoming Free Bean Dinner.

New Business: Discussed Volunteer Firefighter Challenge at OctoberFest.

Smith moved to Adjourn.  White seconded.  Meeting Adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
