Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association

CALL TO ORDER
    The Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association held a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the Haworth Fire Station.  Meeting was called to order at 7:12 p.m. by President Marsh.  Members present were: Storey, Marsh, Batson, Wright, Middleton, Farley, Hattabaugh, Ferguson, Cowart, S. Carrell, White, Hall, Owens, and Boyd.
 
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
    Minutes of the previous meeting were read.  Owens moved to accept.  Cowart seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.
 
PRESIDENT REPORT
    Marsh stressed importance of promoting upcoming benefit at Pollard.
 
FINANCIAL REPORT
    Beginning Balance:    $  1,807.96
    Income:                    $     725.40        Rural Water - $1 Donations
                                    $  2,314.82        OK Dept of Ag – Operational Grant Check
    Expenses:                $       30.54       Choctaw Electric – Redland & Pollard Substations

   Ending Balance:         $   4,336.87
    Wright moved to accept.  Middleton seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.
 
OLD BUSINESS
    Boyd reported that Rural Water had agreed to check the Redland Fire Hydrant and determine the source of the problem.  They will notify the Department of their findings.

NEW BUSINESS
    Members discussed the status of the “Jaws of Life” that the Idabel Fire Department had mentioned donating to the Haworth Volunteer Fire Department.  Middleton stated that he had not heard any further word from Idabel.
 
ADJOURN
    Hattabaugh moved to adjourn.  Cowart seconded.  Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
