Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting

Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association

CALL TO ORDER
        The Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association held a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at the Haworth Fire Station.  Meeting was called to order at 7:16 p.m. by Marsh.  Members present were: Batson, Donaldson, Farley, Ferguson, Hall, Marsh, Middleton, Owens, Smith, Storey, Wright, and Gray.
 
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
        Minutes from the previous meeting were read.  Donaldson moved to accept.  Smith seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.
 
PRESIDENT REPORT
        Marsh reported that everything is going fine.

            Donaldson moved to accept finance report.  Wright seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.
 
OLD BUSINESS
        Ferguson reported that the flag pole and flags had been installed at the Pollard Substation.

NEW BUSINESS
        Ferguson stated that he would like to purchase a generator for Engine-4, and an air compressor, door openers, and propane tank for the Pollard Substation.  Members discussed purchasing generators and decided to seek quotes on three generators; one for Engine-1, one for Engine-4, and one for the Rescue Unit.  Members agreed to acquire price quotes from various suppliers.  Gray moved to purchase generators at supplier offering best prices.  Ferguson seconded.  All members in favor.  Motion approved.   Members discussed purchasing the air compressor.  Batson moved to purchase compressor.  Ferguson seconded.  All members in favor.  Motion approved.  Members discussed purchasing door openers.  Ferguson moved to obtain three price quotes and purchase openers from best source.  Gray seconded.  All members in favor.  Motion approved.  Members discussed purchasing propane tank.  Ferguson moved to purchase a 250 gallon propane tank.  Smith seconded.  All members in favor.  Motion approved.
 
ADJOURN
        Donaldson moved to adjourn.  Middleton seconded.  Meeting adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
