Monthly Meeting
CALL TO ORDER:
The Haworth
Volunteer Firefighters Association held
a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Monday, November 14,
2005 at the Haworth Fire Department. President Chad Wright called
the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. Members present were: Eric
Jackson, Lyndon Farley, Chad Wright, Jimmy Ferguson, Scott Smith, Floyd
Middleton, Mark Kates, Kyle Batson, Clint Ebert, and Kirk Storey.
Junior Firefighters present: Landon Middleton, Shane Farley, and Jarred
Campbell.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
Minutes of
the previous meeting were
presented. Jackson moved to accept the minutes as written.
Ferguson seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.

Middleton
moved to accept financial report.
Ferguson seconded. All members in favor. Financial Report
approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Storey
reported that the department’s 2005 FIRE Act
Grant application had been denied.
Middleton
reported that several changes had been
made to the new Pumper/Tanker. Most notably, the medical
equipment originally ordered with the truck has been deleted and 6”
hard suction hose added in its place. A chrome grill was also
ordered for the truck at a cost of $329.00.
Wright
stated that the Budget Committee needs to
meet and prepare the 2006 Budget.
NEW BUSINESS:
Members
discussed which apparatus to sell upon
delivery of the new Pumper/Tanker. Middleton moved to sell the
1974 Ford Pumper (Engine-4) and the 1975 Dodge Mini-Pumper (Rescue-1)
and purchase a Midi-Pumper that could serve as both a rescue truck and
reserve pumper. Kates seconded. All members in favor.
Motion carried.
Middleton
stated that since the chrome grill for the
new Pumper/Tanker was not included on the original contract, the
Association would need to provide payment. Middleton moved to pay
$329.00 to EVO Texas for the chrome grill. Ferguson
seconded. All members in favor. Motion carried.
ADJOURN:

seconded. All members in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:57
p.m.
