CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled business meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at the Haworth Fire Station.  Meeting was called to order at 6:34 p.m. by Chief Middleton.  Members present were: Middleton, Smith, Owens, Boyd, Batson, White, Hattabaugh, Donaldson, Teel, Hall, and Storey.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read.  Batson moved to accept.  Smith seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT
        Beginning Balance: $     807.58
        Expenses:              $       70.22 (Country Storey: Fuel - October Bill)
                                     $       40.52 (Country Store: Fuel)
                                     $       51.15  (Quick Stop: Fuel)
                                     $         5.40 (Haworth Station: Fuel)
        Income:                 $              0
        Ending Balance:     $     640.29
Boyd moved to approve financial report.  Owens seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.

INACTIVE FIREFIGHTERS
Members discussed inactivity of two existing members: Sonny Joe Carrell and Ricky Dale Callahan.  Middleton moved to dismiss both members.  Smith seconded.  All members in favor.  Carrell and Callahan terminated as of this date.

OLD BUSINESS
Middleton reported that he had decided not to turn in his resignation as Fire Chief.

NEW BUSINESS
Middleton  reported that the heaters have been installed and work days needed to be organized to complete the interior of the station.

Smith reported that he had a lot of scrap metal in his barn that belongs to the department and that he would like to dispose of it.  Members agreed to allow somebody to haul it off.

Hattabaugh moved to adjourn.  Boyd seconded.  Meeting adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
