Minutes of Regularly Scheduled Monthly Meeting


CALL TO ORDER:
    The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Haworth Fire Department.  Chief Vic Marsh called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  Members present were: Kyle Batson, Clint Ebert, Richard Owens, Keith Donaldson, John Coffman, Mark Kates, Donnie Gray, Jim Ferguson, Floyd Middleton, Chad Wright, Eric Jackson, David Smith, Lyndon Farley, Ryan Scott, Kirk Storey, Vic Marsh, and Aubrey Gray.  Junior Firefighters present were: Landon Middleton, Jarred Campbell, Kyle Gray, and Shane Farley.  


MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
    Minutes of the previous meeting were presented.  Wright moved to accept the minutes as written.  Donaldson seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.


FINANCIAL REPORT:
    Beginning Balance: $13,850.33
    Income:            $ 3,000.00    KEDDO – Special Projects Grant

                       $    66.00    Town Water Customers - $1 Donations

    Floyd Middleton moved to accept financial report.  Donaldson seconded.  All members in favor.  Financial Report approved.


OLD BUSINESS:
    Marsh reported that the pumper purchased from the Oxbow Fire Department had been delivered and was in excellent condition.
    Members discussed the Redland Substation Project.  After obtaining a lease for the land, members will stake the location and ask the County Commissioner to begin the dirt work.
    Marsh reported that he had spoken with Rosenbauer and the chasis for the new pumper/tanker has been ordered.
    Marsh reported that the Millerton Volunteer Fire Department is interested in purchasing the 1972 Ford/Hahn pumper.  They are seeking approval from KEDDO to purchase the pumper.  If they are unable to purchase the pumper, Fire Apparatus Resources will be contacted and asked to locate a buyer.  The department is asking $10,000 for the apparatus and some equipment.  The proceeds from the sale of the pumper will be used to construct the new Redland Substation.
    Donnie Gray reported that he was working on the 2005 training calendar.  When complete, each member will receive a list of all scheduled training and a copy will be posted at the fire station.
    Marsh scheduled a workday for Saturday at 8:00 am at the Haworth Fire Station.
