CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled business
meeting on Tuesday, February 1, 2000 at the Haworth Fire Station.
Meeting was called to order at 6:50 p.m. by Chief Middleton. Members
present were: Middleton, White, Batson, Farley, Bennett, Storey, Owens,
and Smith.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Smith moved to accept.
Batson seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.

1999 FINANCIAL REPORT
Storey presented the Department’s 1999 Financial Statement. Smith
moved to accept. White seconded. All members in favor.
Report approved.
SURPLUS HOSE REELS
Middleton reported that the Shinewell Volunteer Fire Department needed
two hose reels and proposed giving them the two reels off of the tank in
Jack Brown’s field. Smith moved to give the reels to Shinewell.
White seconded. All members in favor. Motion approved.
OLD BUSINESS
None.
NEW BUSINESS
Smith inquired about approaching the Town Council about placing a $1
per month donation on the Town’s water bills, similar to that on Rural
Water’s bills. All members agreed on the proposal. Smith and
White are to handle the matter.

at 6:55 p.m.
