The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a Regular Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at the Haworth Fire Department. Meeting was called to order at 6:39 p.m. by Middleton. Members present were: Storey, Boyd, Batson, Middleton, Hall, Farley, Smith, Carrell and White. Others present were: Brett Bennett and Richard Owens.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Hall moved to accept. Carrell seconded. All members were in favor. Minutes approved.
Storey reported an income of $17.00 from the sale of surplus equipment and expenses of $77.17 to Wal-Mart (creeper, air gauge, telephone, & shop lights), $1,141.00 to Lett Electronics (2 handheld radios and 2 extra batteries), $86.31 to Dixie Utility Supply (pipe fittings to plumb deck gun on Engine-3), $415.70 to LeeCo (3 Streamlight Liteboxes & Hooligan Tool), $38.00 to Bulbman (6 bulbs for lightbar on Engine-1), and $1,245.00 to Valley Fire & Safety (1,000 feet of 2 ½" hose). Current balance is $425.85. Storey also presented the 1998 Yearly Financial Statement (Beginning Balance $3724.44; Income $43,646.02; Expenses $43,915.61; & Ending Balance $3,454.85). Hall moved to accept. Carrell seconded. All members in favor. Financial reports approved.
Storey reported that David Johnson had turned in his resignation due to the fact he had moved to Idabel. Boyd moved to accept. Smith seconded. All members in favor. Resignation accepted.
The application of Keith Donaldson was presented to members. Boyd moved to hire. Smith seconded. All members in favor. Donaldson hired, effective this date.
The application of Brett Bennett was presented to members. Smith moved to hire. Carrell seconded. All members in favor. Bennett hired, effective this date.
The application of Richard Owens was presented to members. Middleton moved to hire. Storey seconded. All members in favor. Owens hired, effective this date.
Middleton presented a proposed floor plan for the new town hall/fire station. Middleton moved to accept. Carrell seconded. All members in favor. Plan approved.
