CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regular monthly business
meeting on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at the Haworth Fire Station. Meeting
was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chief Middleton. Members present
were: Batson, Owens, Marsh, Donaldson, Middleton, Carrell, Hall, White,
Ferguson, Wright, Cowart, Boyd, and Storey. Others present: Steven
Staples.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Owens moved to accept.
Donaldson seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Beginning Balance: $ 599.38

Marsh moved to accept finance report. Carrell seconded. All members in favor. Finance report approved.
HIRE FIREFIGHTER
Storey reported that Steven Staples had submitted an application for
membership. Marsh moved to hire Staples. Carrell seconded.
All members in favor. Motion carried. Staples hired as firefighter
effective this date.
OLD BUSINESS
Members discussed engine repairs for Truck-3. Owens stated that
he should be able to begin repairs within the next two weeks.
NEW BUSINESS
Middleton reported that the department had received a 1986 3/4 ton
Chevy truck through KEDDO. A bed needs to be acquired and new batteries
purchased.
Middleton also reported that the 2 ½ ton truck for Pollard was in-service.
Members discussed upcoming Volunteer Firefighter Challenge to be held on Saturday, April 7th at the Dogwood Days Festival in Idabel. Event begins at 1:00 p.m.
Members were informed of upcoming Fire Academy A course that will be held at the Broken Bow Fire Department beginning on April 10th at 6:00 p.m.
