Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Fire Department
CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled
monthly business meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the Haworth Fire
Station. Meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Chief
Middleton. Members present were: Middleton, Batson, Hall,
Ferguson, Owens, Marsh, Wright, Cowart, M. Carrell, Farley
and Storey. Others present: David Smith.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Cowart moved to
accept. Wright seconded. All members in
favor. Minutes approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Beginning Balance: $ 626.17

Expenses:
$ 0
Ending Balance: $ 626.17
Cowart moved to accept finance report. Owens seconded. All
members in favor. Finance report approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Batson reported that the new Ford F250 should be delivered at the end
of the month.
Marsh reported that the $2,000 donation from Weyerhaeuser should be
presented soon.
Storey reported that the Department’s 2002 FIRE Act Grant application
had been submitted.
NEW BUSINESS
Marsh reported that the Introduction to Technical Rescue course would
be held on April 10th and 11th from 6:00 until 10:00 pm. Storey
will check on availability of school cafeteria.
Members discussed disposing of the two old pumpers that Milven Easton
donated to the Department. Both will require very extensive
repairs before being operational. Batson moved to give the 1963
International to the Eagletown Volunteer Fire Department and the 1969
Ford to Shinewell Volunteer Fire Department. Owens
seconded. All members in favor. Motion carried.
ADJOURN
Batson moved to adjourn. Cowart seconded. Meeting adjourned
at 6:55 p.m.
