Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Fire Department
CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled
monthly business meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at the Haworth Fire
Station. Meeting was called to order at 6:46 p.m. by Boyd.
Members present were: Boyd, Ferguson, Carrell, Batson, Hattabaugh,
Cowart, Owens, Donaldson, and Storey.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes from the previous meeting were read. Hattabaugh moved to
accept. Cowart seconded. All members in favor.
Minutes approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Beginning Balance: $1,261.81

Ending Balance: $1,261.81
Cowart moved to accept report. Hattabaugh seconded. All
members in favor. Report approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Storey reported that the Department’s application for the Bureau of
Indian Affairs grant had been denied, but applications for next years
grants should be received in the near future.
Boyd reported that Truck-5, the 2 ½ ton military 6x6 had been
transferred to the Sherwood Volunteer Fire Department.
Boyd reported that the Jaws of Life training that had been scheduled at
Cameron’s Garage was cancelled due to weather, but would be rescheduled
at a later date.
Boyd reported that he, Batson, and Owens had attended the Vehicle
Extrication Course at Idabel.
Storey reported that a Medical First Responder Course would be offered
at the Vo-Tech in Idabel beginning in June. The instructor will
be mailing out information packets in the near future and the details
will be provided to members interested in attending.
NEW BUSINESS
Members expressed an interest in setting up a Storm Spotter Training
class. Storey will contact the National Weather Service to
schedule the class.

Donaldson moved to adjourn. Cowart seconded. Meeting
adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
