Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Fire Department


CALL TO ORDER:
       The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Haworth Fire Station.  Assistant Chief Kyle Batson called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.  Members present were: Richard Owens, Eric Jackson, Jim Ferguson, Aubrey Gray, Donnie Gray, Chad Wright, Kyle Batson, Floyd Middleton, John Coffman, and Kirk Storey.  Junior Firefighters present were: Landon Middleton, Kyle Gray, and Jarred Campbell.  Guest Present: Ryan Scott.
 
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
       Minutes of the previous meeting were presented.  Wright moved to accept the minutes as written.  Donnie Gray seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.
 
FINANCIAL REPORT:
 Beginning Balance:  $22,235.48
 Income:             $   146.00    Town Water Customers - $1 Donations
 Expenses:           $21,000.00    Wayest Safety – Extrication Suits, Boots, Gloves, SCBAs, etc.
 Ending Balance      $ 1,381.48
       Ferguson moved to accept financial report.  Aubrey Gray seconded.  Financial Report approved.
 
OLD BUSINESS:
       Storey reported that the Extrication Suits, two SCBAs, two spare cylinders, wildland boots, gloves, nomex hoods, helmets, etc will be delivered June 28th.  He also reported that Wayest had mistakenly ordered red extrication suits instead of the khaki colored ones.  Members agreed to accept the red suits.
       Storey presented a “Liability Release and Waiver” for the Junior Firefighter Program.  Donnie Gray stated he would have his wife to get a lawyer to look over the form to make sure it was acceptable.
       Donnie Gray suggested moving the upcoming Introduction to Technical Rescue training to an air conditioned building.  Ferguson agreed to secure the school cafeteria for the training.
       Donnie Gray reported that the Practical portion of the Vehicle Extrication Training would be held at Charlie Johnson’s wrecker service in Idabel.
       Donnie Gray also reported that he may be able to obtain the charcoal cooker from Tyson Foods for the department’s July 19th fundraiser.  Members authorized him to check on its availability.

       Ferguson moved to adjourn.  Wright seconded.  All members in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 7:09p.m.
