Minutes of Regularly Scheduled
Monthly Meeting
CALL TO ORDER:
The Haworth
Volunteer Fire Department held a
regularly scheduled monthly business meeting on Monday, June 13, 2005
at the Haworth Fire Department. Chief Floyd Middleton called the
meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Members present were: Floyd
Middleton, Chad Wright, Scott Smith, Kyle Batson, Jimmy Ferguson, Keith
Donaldson, David Smith, Chris Hall, Lyndon Farley, Donnie Gray, Aubrey
Gray, Richard Owens, Vic Marsh, Ryan Scott, Clint Ebert, and Kirk
Storey. Junior Firefighters present were: Landon Middleton, Jarred
Campbell, and Shane Farley. Guest present: Stuart Cowart.
Marsh
announced that he had resigned the position of
Fire Chief and would resume his former rank of Captain. The
Haworth Town Council appointed Floyd Middleton as Chief at their June
7th meeting.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
Minutes of
the previous meeting were
presented. Jackson moved to accept the minutes as written.
Wright seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.

Donaldson
moved to accept financial report.
Hall seconded. All members in favor. Financial Report
approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Members
discussed the rescue training scheduled for
July and August. Due to several projects that are currently in
progress, members felt the training should be cancelled. Marsh
moved to seek another department or the County Firefighter Association
to sponsor the training. Donnie Gray seconded. All members
in favor. Motion carried.
Middleton
reported that Tank-2 needs further repairs
on the tank.
Members
discussed the ceiling joists on the training
room. Those used for form material on the new Redland Substation
were found to be rotten. Member agreed that the joists already
installed should be removed and alternative joists obtained.
Donnie and
Aubrey Gray poured and finished the
foundation for the new Redland Substation. Members recently held
two workdays and erected the framework. Additional workdays will
be scheduled to hang the siding.
NEW BUSINESS:
Aubrey Gray
reported that he had lost his handheld
radio.
