CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regular monthly business
meeting on Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at the Haworth Fire Station.
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chief Middleton. Members
present were: Marsh, Owens, White, Teel, Donaldson, Hattabaugh, Batson,
Cowart, Ferguson, Middleton, Hall, Wright, Farley, Kates, and Storey.
Others present: Michael Smithson.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Owens moved to accept.
Cowart seconded. All members in favor. Minutes approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT

Donaldson moved to accept finance report. Hattabaugh seconded.
All members in favor. Finance report approved.
WATER HAUL FEE
Middleton proposed charging a fee of $10.00 to people whom the Department
delivers water. This fee would help recover fuel expenses for
these activities. The funds generated by this fee will be deposited
in the Haworth Volunteer Firefighters Association’s checking account.
Cowart moved to implement the fee. Owens seconded. All members
in favor. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Middleton reported that the International pumper had been loaned to
the Eagletown Volunteer Fire Department. The pumper was loaned to
the department with the understanding that it would be returned to the
Haworth Volunteer Fire Department at such time that the Eagletown Volunteer
Fire Department no longer needed it.
NEW BUSINESS
Middleton reported that a radio had been installed in Tank-2.
The radio was loaned to the Department by the McCurtain County Sheriffs
Office. He also reported that a battery charger/maintainer had been
installed on Truck-3.
Marsh reported that Poulan-Weedeater in DeQueen, Arkansas had donated two chainsaws to the Department. Marsh stated that he had requested a large saw and a small one, with one to be placed on Engine-1 and the other to be used for a fundraiser for the Pollard Substation.

Hattabaugh moved to adjourn. Cowart seconded. Meeting adjourned
at 6:35 p.m.
