Minutes of Regular Monthly Meeting
of the
Haworth Volunteer Fire Department
CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled
monthly business meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at the Haworth
Fire Station. Meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Chief
Middleton. Members present were: Storey, Owens, Hattabaugh,
Cowart, Donaldson, Middleton, Batson, Wright, Ebert, Hall, & M.
Carrell.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Cowart moved to
accept. Hattabaugh seconded. All members in
favor. Minutes approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT

Owens moved to accept. Cowart seconded. All members in
favor. Report approved.
DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS RADIOS
Members discussed the sale of surplus departmental radios. Wright
moved to sell two Uniden SMH1525 mobile radios for $125.00 each.
Donaldson seconded. All members in favor. Motion approved.
Donaldson moved to sell the handheld radios as one lot and to ask
$1,200 for the entire lot. Owens seconded. All members in
favor. Motion approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Storey reported that Boyd and Marsh conducted the annual Fire Safety
Visit at Haworth Elementary on October 22nd and had done an outstanding
job.
Middleton reported that Rural Water had informed him that repairs had
been completed and the Redland Fire Hydrant is operational again.
NEW BUSINESS
Storey reported that there would be a Meth Lab Training Class held at
the Shinewell Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, November 9, from 9
a.m. until approximately 2 p.m.
Middleton reported that the Ringold Volunteer Fire Department needed
the surplus pump motor that is stored at the Redland Substation.
Cowart moved to transfer the motor to Ringold. Hattabaugh
seconded. All members in favor. Motion approved.
Storey will notify KEDDO of the transfer.
ADJOURN
Wright moved to adjourn. Cowart seconded. Meeting adjourned
at 7:02 p.m.
