CALL TO ORDER
The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department held a regularly scheduled business meeting on Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at the Haworth Fire Station.  Meeting was called to order at 6:43  p.m. by Chief Middleton.  Members present were: Middleton, Smith, Owens, Batson, Farley, Kates, Bennett, Hall, and Storey.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting were read.  Smith moved to accept.  Batson seconded.  All members in favor.  Minutes approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT
Beginning Balance: $     842.31
Expenses:              $         8.72  (Haworth Station: Fuel)
                             $       81.54  (Country Store: Fuel)
                             $       66.41  (Quick Stop: Fuel)
                             $     174.50  (Hilltop Lumber: ½ of cost of metal door, split with Town)
Income:                 $     296.44  (Foreman United Fund - GP Ashdown Mill)
Ending Balance:     $     807.58
Smith moved to approve financial report.  Hall seconded.  All members in favor.  Report approved.

OLD BUSINESS
None.

NEW BUSINESS
Middleton reported that heaters for the new station had been obtained and needed to be installed.  Storey was directed to contact Bemac and have the necessary supplies delivered.

Middleton announced that he intended to turn in his resignation as Fire Chief to the Town Council this month.  He feels that he is not able to devote sufficient time to the Department.   Members urged Middleton to stay on as Chief.

Farley moved to adjourn.  Batson seconded.  Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
