Haworth Fire Department - Communications

The Haworth Volunteer Fire Department's Communication System consists of a Motorola R1225 VHF repeater equipped with a telephone interconnect, used in conjunction with handheld and mobile radios.

When someone dials the Department's phone number, the call is routed to the repeater via the telephone interconnect. When a telephone call comes in all of the Department's radios will "ring." Each of the handheld radios are capable of answering incoming calls, and when a member answers the call, all other members are also able to listen to the conversation.

Each of the Department's mobile apparatus are equipped with radios. These radios allow for communication between each of the Department's responding mobile apparatus, as well as any other department or agency responding to the call.

Area residents can listen to the Haworth Volunteer Fire Department, as well as other local departments and agencies, by programming the following frequencies in their scanners:
